We are a small eclectic bookshop, holding around 5,000 volumes at any one time. Our catalogue includes categories that you may not find in major national chain bookshops, but they reflect the style and the interests of the owner. You might say it reflects an individual approach, and the atmosphere is that we are an “approachable and friendly” little corner of yesterdays books. That is not say we don’t stock current books and authors, we do, but the focus of this little gem is the forgotten reading treasures and pleasures of the past. David is always on the look-out for other books of this ilk, and browsing through the well stocked shelves is sure to unearth some forgotten reading pleasures. Some categories such as sport, military, history, politics, law and wine are likely to contain books of historical significance and we hold a wide selection of vintage childrens books. You can’t buy online from us, we are a drop in shop, so please do just that. Maybe even start a game of chess with David while you are here. We look forward to meeting new friends, so don’t be shy.
